Mission Statement:

The Kokomo BobKats are wholeheartedly engaged in the community in order to learn, lead, and provide affordable entertainment with integrity and selflessness.

Sam Beckom:  Team Market Owner (TMO)/General Manager

Sam Beckom serves as the Team Market Owner and General Manager of the Kokomo BobKats, bringing a deep passion for sports, entertainment, and community engagement to the organization. A lifelong Kokomo resident, Beckom has been instrumental in growing the city’s sports culture and creating a strong connection between local fans and professional athletics.

Beckom began his career in sports entertainment with the Kokomo Jackrabbits baseball organization in 2015, where he held several roles including entertainment director, broadcast director, and press coordinator. Through these positions, he gained extensive experience in sports operations, game-day production, and fan engagement, helping build a lively and memorable atmosphere for Kokomo sports fans.

As the Team Market Owner and General Manager of the Kokomo BobKats, Beckom oversees the organization’s basketball operations, business development, and community outreach. His leadership focuses on building a competitive team while continuing to grow the BobKats’ presence throughout Kokomo and the surrounding region.

A 2009 graduate of Western High School, Beckom has also worked as a percussion instructor for several Indiana high schools, blending his creative background with his passion for entertainment and live events. His vision for the BobKats centers on creating an exciting game-day experience while strengthening the team’s commitment to community involvement and youth engagement.

Under Beckom’s leadership, the Kokomo BobKats continue to expand their impact both on the court and throughout the Kokomo community, bringing fans together through the excitement of professional basketball.


Chandler Levingston-Simon: Head Coach

Chandler Levingston-Simon brings a strong basketball background and a deep understanding of the game to the Kokomo BobKats as the team’s Head Coach. A former collegiate forward, Levingston-Simon played NCAA Division I basketball at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC) before transferring to Valparaiso University, where he continued his career competing at the Division I level.

Standing 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds, Levingston-Simon played the forward position and gained experience in multiple college programs known for disciplined systems and competitive conference play. During his time at Valparaiso, he appeared in games for the Crusaders and contributed with rebounding, scoring, and defensive effort while continuing to develop his overall basketball IQ and leadership abilities.

A native of Vernon Hills, Illinois, Levingston-Simon attended St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy, where he served as a team captain before beginning his collegiate career. He later continued his education and graduate studies while competing collegiately, demonstrating a commitment to both athletics and academics.

Now leading the Kokomo BobKats, Levingston-Simon brings a player-focused coaching philosophy centered on discipline, accountability, and team culture. His experience as a Division I athlete and lifelong exposure to professional basketball helps him guide players in their development while building a competitive and professional environment for the organization and its fans.

Josh Hicks:  Assistant Head Coach

Josh Hicks serves as the Assistant Head Coach of the Kokomo BobKats, bringing dedication, leadership, and a strong focus on player development to the organization. Hicks works closely with Head Coach Chandler Levingston-Simon to assist with game preparation, player development, and implementing the team’s competitive strategy.

A key member of the BobKats coaching staff, Hicks has been part of the organization across multiple seasons and provides valuable continuity within the program. His knowledge of the team’s system and commitment to discipline and teamwork help players adjust quickly to the professional level.

As Assistant Head Coach, Hicks plays an important role in building a competitive culture while helping the BobKats continue to grow and represent the Kokomo community in The Basketball League (TBL).
